Prices and terms
You should know what you are agreeing to before any work begins. We will therefore confirm the task, the intended result and the expected cost in writing beforehand.
Price and estimates
Indicative hourly rate: NOK 800
Estimate: free and without obligation
Work is billed for the time spent unless we agree on a fixed price.
An estimate is not the same as a fixed price. If the task turns out to be larger or different than expected, I will pause and check with you before continuing.
No fix, no fee
Before I start, we will agree on what counts as a successful result. If I cannot solve the agreed task, you will not pay me for the time I have spent.
If we agree during the work to finish with a partial solution that you want to keep, we will agree on any charge before that partial solution is treated as delivered.
After the work is completed
We will review the result when the task is complete. If the solution does not work as agreed at the time of delivery, I will investigate and correct it at no extra cost.
Problems that arise later because of changes made by you or someone else, software updates, issues at an external provider, new hardware or software faults, or a lack of maintenance are treated as a new task.
Your part in the process
- You must have the right to give me access to the accounts, equipment and systems covered by the task.
- You must provide accurate and relevant information about the problem and tell me if you or anyone else makes changes while the work is in progress.
- Before making changes that may affect data, we will agree on who is responsible for a suitable backup.
- Passwords and other access details are used only to complete the agreed task. Temporary passwords should be changed when the work is finished.
External services and expenses
Domains, web hosting, licences and other ongoing services are normally ordered directly by you. This means that you own the accounts and receive invoices from the providers.
I will not incur costs from other providers on your behalf without your prior approval. I cannot control the availability, prices or changes made by external providers.
For consumer customers
As a consumer, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when an agreement is entered into by email or phone. If you want the work to start before this period has ended, you must expressly request this.
If you then exercise your right of withdrawal, you must pay for the work performed up to the time I receive your notice. For hourly work, this is normally calculated from the time spent. The no fix, no fee policy does not apply if you stop the work before I have had the opportunity to complete the agreed task.
By accepting these terms and expressly asking me to start work before the withdrawal period has ended, you also agree that your right of withdrawal ends once the service has been completed.
